A nativity with a twist...

This week, on Monday afternoon and Tuesday evening, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are putting on their Christmas performance, 'Jesus' Christmas Party'.

It is a funny story told from the Innkeeper's point of view. All the children have an active role in the production making it a magical experience for all relatives coming to watch.

Those of you who come to watch, we hope you really enjoy it...I'm sure you will (Bring tissues).

:)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all children and staff in Year 1.

Explosive poetry!!

Our poetry display bordered by our own marbled firework pictures.

All of the poems were fantastic but I chose a handful of my favourites to display in the classroom...

Well done Year 1 :)

I'd like to start this week's post by saying a big WELL DONE to all of Year 1 for producing some super poetry this week. You were all so proud of your own work and each other's that you performed them to the class. I was so proud that we went to Year 2 to read our poems to them, they all said "Wow!" :) I will put some examples for you to look at this week so check back soon.

This week, on Friday it is Children in Need. For further information about this fantastic national event click this link....

And the run up to Christmas (secretly) begins :)

Week 2 of our second half term this year and all is going well as usual.
I would like to say a big congratulations to the Evans family for the birth of their new baby girl, was lovely to meet her last week!

Green day was a massive hit in school...kicked off firstly by the walking bus which definately got us all in the green spirit for the rest of the day. Well done and thank you to all who took part in all areas of the day.

This week year 1 are yet again busy working hard and having fun mostly continuing with what we started last week but with the addition of a few things. We begin our Design and Technology topic- Moving pictures, in which we will eventually learn to make a lever and a wheel mechanism to create our own moving pictures or puppets focused around Fairy Tales.

Also this week, but shhh, don't mention the C or X word, we begin learning our songs for the production in December. So yes, if your little one comes home singing away in a manger when we are only in the 2nd week of November, it is our fault, solely. :)

All in good spirit though, this year's production will be fantastic and rather funny might I add.

And that's quite enough of that topic for the time being hehe!

Check back this time next week to see what we've been up to and what is coming up...
